I think this is update #4, but I don't remember for sure now.

So this coming Friday will be 30 days my dad has been in the inpatient rehab. He seems to be doing really well. All week went by that I didn't hear from him, and I gave him that space- didn't call or text him all week, which was a big deal for me!!

He called yesterday, and although he wasn't up to visiting this weekend (doc started him a new medication for insomnia) he sounds like he is doing well. He said that he plan on taking a few day passes this week and will be doing some work (he has his own plumbing business) to get used to being back in the "real world". Although he completes the 30 day program this week, he is thinking about staying at least another 2 weeks to continue working on himself. Considering his feelings about the program when he first went in, that says alot to me.

So that is all for now. We'll see what happens Friday, whether he will go ahead and stay a bit longer or will feel well enough to come home.
