Success of the week...

What's been your biggest success this week?

Mine was a peice of sh*t hot negotiation at a meeting which turned a lost opportunity into an even bigger one gained!

(Ehem.... certain people with floods of job offers may be spoilt for choice!! )

Blart!! just seemed like a cool Friday thing to do!

Issues surrounding my step-daughter, after more than 30 years have been released and let go.

Vain but true...lost 5lbs this week and I am feeling motivated!

Jessica that is no easy task....The only thing I like about not having
a pool anymore is not having to clean and vacuum it anymore!!!!
Anyone that owns a pool can totally understand that.....

Recognizing my own twisted thinking BEFORE I reacted to it. Thinking it through and talking it over with you guys and handling the situation in a way that I am proud of. And completely different than I would have handled it a year ago.

L

This is what I'm talking about in case you missed it.

Hurmm

I was able to handle my daughters "huge acting out" missing her plane, working to find another flight and a client who had a 20k wire go very wrong all at the same time.

Also I handled it with grace and found the solution for both problems and corrected it so everyone was happy without loosing my senerity.

I did get upset, but it was short and sweet, made my point and let it go.

Well done everyone!!!

My biggest success - maintaining most of the holiday feeling right up until now. And I don't intend to let it go. Also, at work we won a big new chunk of work, which means the company will still be around this time next year.

And - I won £50 on the Premium Bonds!!!

Now on another note work related...
Came back Tuesday after a 2 week vacation to an apartment
that had flooded via a toilet issue last Friday. The maintenance
guy in charge handled all of it poorly and I was left with a 4 day flood
with mold growing first thing Tuesday...was able to defuse
the situation with the resident and now everthing is back to normal.
Not an easy tast dealing with someone who has been living with
a flooded unit for 4-5 days.....I just love my job!!!!!!

-My bf called and didn't leave a voice mail, and I didn't pick up the phone OR call him back to see what he had to say. I consider that an accomplishment.
-Still making myself go to Al-Anon even if I took off 1 night last night to go to Macy's instead because I needed an unrelated distraction, will go back tonight
-Took my therapist's advice and agreed to try to not worry about the future which my imagination does not make easy but which will do me no good regardless of any outcomes
-Also agreed to look into taking a meditation class, which is so not me, because I have to try new things before dismissing them. Or so I'm told.

I think between us we could run a country!!

I'm going to add one more little one - it's cheating though 'cos we haven't done it yet. For those who know we've been having a bit of a faff socialising, I've been having my own faffs bringing it up. Wellllll..... Tomorrow we go into town at lunchtime (sensible compromise after we talked about it!) to spend my world cup sweepstake winnings on a posh lunch..... THEN in the evening we're going to a friends for a BBQ!!!!

I suppose I did the talking about it bit already - now all I have to do is not get stressed if there's any up's and down's!
