Cool Def's Throwing another Party! Come on in and celebrate with me!

That's right friends! More good news!

I got a job! A good job with benefits! I will be raking in the money as a call center agent at a health insurance company! Finally, I can take care of myself the way I want and need to. You all know how tough it is when you are a dependent of an alcoholic. My mom is the A in my life and things have been going well. She still drinks and I either take off or ignore her when she is drunk. I still need to find and join an al-anon but in the meanwhile, I have been happy. Me and Mommie are getting to know each other and appreciate each other more than ever now. I think its because I am an adult now. Things are so much better.

The job itself requires a lot of patience and it will be challenging, but it will be well worth it. I get full (and free) benefits, they have a gym upstairs (complete with personal trainers), tuition re-imbursement, and nurturing and caring people everywhere.

This is so great! I am so excited.

Okay, *party time*

Now ain't that somethng you wish you could travel back in time and tell yourself in teenage years!!

It IS different and through all the ups and downs it stays different - I think I said this before but you have the pen to write your own script now. Being an adult is HEAVEN in my books!!

You are completely correct Equus. Wouldn't have nice if I could have known that things would be different.
