Not many updates from Chicago.... If I were a betting man, I'd say Patty is showing minnie a pretty good time! LOL!!!
Well I can stop building this Ark because the rain finally stopped! YAY!! I was beginning to think this leg was REALLY going to be the water themed part of the journey!!!
All plans are falling right into place for quite a get together!

Been out shopping. And sleeping. And some more shopping. Just getting ready to go to a restaurant for dinner. Then it's time for the big drive tomorrow!
See you in DC! (I hope....between Patty's map-reading skills and my lack of experience driving on the wrong side of the road, it'll be a miracle if we get there.)

When you guys get close to the area, say Maryland(ish), keep my phone numbers handy. Those mapquest directions don't usually take into account things like rush hour traffic and what roads to avoid like the plague

Well, Patty and I got to DC OK and met up with Jazz and Christie. Jazz took us to a wonderful restaurant last night.
On a momentary downer due to England being knocked out of the World Cup, but I am sure it won't last too long as I am in the company of such wonderful friends.
Not had much time to check in so I hope you are all doing great.

Well the cook out Sat. was a blast and there is still food left over! There were tons of cameras going so I'm sure pics will follow soon. We spent yesterday walking around the monuments and museums downtown and everyone did amazingly well considering the heat and mileage walked!
But even w/ tired feet there are more sights to see so we're off to some notable Maryland waterfront towns.
