Minnie,
Have a blast! I am so jealous! Half of my family lives in Phoenix, and I really am wishing I could be there right now, even with the heat.

Frizzy hair? Usually not me, till the humidity from the corn fields in Iowa sink in, then the straight hair starts doing wild things - thank goodness for the ponytail holders!!!!

I don't get it. Twist it back to the root and make it stay there with what?
The mousse holds it in place until it's dry. Give it a try.

We had one day at 27 degrees and just now it's 14, chucking it down with gales.

Ditto here...

We don't 'do' summer in Ireland, just the odd day when everybody goes mental and fries themselves cos we never know when the sun will appear again.

Rain capital of the world, I reckon.

Soak it up, Minnie!

Crikey... No summer?!?!?
I have no idea what I would do w/out a pool visit on a hot summer day for 3 months out of the year. That's the only thing that gets me though the winter months!

Living in the midwest and experiencing the 4 seasons is amazing....
I can't imagine living anywhere where you couldn't enjoy the colors
of fall, the crisp air of winter, the re-birth that spring brings and summers
hot (yes humid) days out at the pool......we really have it all here.....

I'm here!! Having soooo much fun. Met Cynay and her family for dinner before a meeting last night (hiya, hon!!) and now off to Sedona and the Grand Canyon overnight.

Some thoughts on the US so far - the people are warm and friendly, the food portions are enormous and I get paralysed by the amount of choice on offer. Oh, and for me, it's cheap. I definitely needed to bring that extra bag. (Hit the Victoria's Secret sale yesterday.)

Ok... Had the pleasure to meet Minnie last night at dinner....

Just as you would expect she is as beautiful on the outside as we have all come to know how beautiful she is on the inside. I love meeting people that you already know and love.

What Minnie didn't say is that there is a big fire near Sedona...

So we are off to hunt firemen with the new Victoria's Secret knickers...(see her language is rubbing off on me already)..

I can not even begin to tell you how much trouble those firemen are in for.... the whole state could burn down if they get distracted by those two!!!!

I agree,Patty. (We in NE Ohio (near Cleveland) get "your" weather a day later ) Just about the time I start getting bored, we are starting into the next season.

I like to visit other places, but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I'd miss the "real" trees, too! I find the changing seasons really tunes me into my HP sometimes when/as nothing else does.

Hi, Minnie.......belated welcome!!! Glad to hear your trip is going well!

Better buy an extra suitcase and have it shipped! It would be a shame to be the great buys!

I get 4 seasons - I just don't get any snow (though we've had hail). Which I don't miss one little bit. If I want it, I can drive to it in about an hour. That happens about once a year. Otherwise, I get the rest, the gorgeous liquidambers that turn brilliant orange and red in the fall, the pecan in the back yard that comes back to life from May to October and EIGHT BEAUTIFUL MONTHS in the pool with NO HUMIDITY!!!!

that's all for now

That does sound good too Denny...gotta admit though
the snow and sleet gets a bit much but our winters have
been really mild the last few years......
8 months at the pool...you got me there....lol

i'm with pick - i love the changes to and feel closer to God and nature with the different seasons! nothing lasts forever so each season is tolerable when "bad".

oh......and someone please get jazz a droolbag before he drowns thinking about Victoria's Secret.......
