Haha...I just cut my hair short. It won't curl even if I tried. I used to be called the judge when I was in the 6th grade. It was traumatic. My hair was so thick and frizzy it resembled the wigs that judges used to wear in parliment. I kid you not. I'm sure the smock top that resembled a judges robe didn't help much either. I wore it constantly. I would have been a perfect candidate for What Not to Wear back in the day. Luckily, I've learned a few things since then. Love the show as well. Staci and Clinton are hilarious.

I learned this trick by watching Nick Erojo, the hairdresser on TLC's "What NOT to Wear." Love that show. And boy, would they have a field day with me....Both for the "fro" and my clothes.
Thanks for the tip FD. I'm a What Not to Wear junkie, but I must have missed that one. I'm sort of curly myself and I know all about the frizz. Growing up with this hair in the New Orleans area in the 80s was quite something!!! Can you say HUGE hair??? LOL.

Minnie-- I hope you're having a blast girlfriend!

Straight is a GOOD thing! It's always that way though isn't it? The straight want curly and the curly want straight! I've even ironed my hair before in the past. LOL

hey eq - you're a pretty cute fraggle - or is that fragglette?

yep - i ironed my hair with a REAL iron, not one of those flatiron thingys back in the day. also used a OTC hair straightening kit and my mother SWORE i altered my follicles permanently cuz it seemed my hair was never as wavy as it used to be. it's still has waves and is in a frizz-biz pony-do today!

I love my curly hair! Frizz-Ease is the best product line I've found!
Takes too much time to straighten it and why fight nature.

hey jazz - if your hair is "fine" you may want to try a bit of thickening mousse!

oops - you said you're fine with your hair - not you hair is fine - my bad!

Just got back from some "wet" hot days in New Jersey and I'll take this dry hot day in L.A. any time.

Have fun Minnie. I knew you'd sit next to a cutie on the plane!

Hi all

CW, It's Maxine from the village.

All this talk about frizzy hair. I couldn't resist. I've tried it all, and I've got bottles and bottles of product to prove it. Right now, a girl that works across the hall has me on this lard as a conditioner; my hairdresser has me using a Redkin shampoo for distressed hair, and another girl in the building convinced me to buy an ionic blow dryer.

Done it all, girls, and you can still turn me upside down and scrub your kitchen floor with me.

Now, about the mousse thing......

I don't get it. Twist it back to the root and make it stay there with what?

I'm willing to buy yet another product, if it would help.

It's hot and humid in BMore, Hon!
