Frustrated

I don't visit much, but do occasionally pop by. Today is the 2nd anniversary of my brother's suicide. He was an alcoholic and a drug addict that couldn't stop.

Thank you to everyone who was there for me when I needed you. (((HUGS))) to you today in my brother's memory.

oh i am so sorry, i am praying for you, i lost my brother to alcohol about 5 yrs ago, and i believe that one day i will see him again, thiats what keeps me strong. it still hurts i no but day by day, bit by bit, i does get a little bit easier

Prayers out to u today. I hope your family can honor his spirit today. My Grandfather on my Dad's side, {who were both alcoholics}, killed himself also. I was just young when it happened. In those days there was such a cloud of shame around suicide, people were in such denial that alcohol really effected depression, the 60's & the 70's, were such rough times for those suffering with both problems. Our grown son suffers with depression and he worries me! My heart goes out to u today, I will say a prayer for u & ur brother now! The Lord is such a support to me! Kerry

Frustrated

Thanks everyone. I got through the day with just a few tears. It's hard to believe he's gone. I miss him but also feel guilty for feeling relieved that we don't have to worry about where he is and what he's going to do next. I like to think he's finally at peace.

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and kind words. Hopefully someday someone will find a miracle cure for this horrible disease.

My heart is with you and I'm so sorry for your loss. Time eases the pain, but we never get "over" it. There is a Grief & Loss forum here and I hope you visit some time and continue to seek support. May you find continued healing and peace.
