I will also pray for your DIL to learn to love and cherish her WHOLE family. That includes you and your son, they say time heals all wounds, but sometimes it really hard. I'm so sorry your son has to deal with all this at a time when his concern should be for his son....I hope his wife comes to realize that very soon. I will keep baby's health, you, your son and his wife in my prayers that you all may gain a healthly relationship and she will realize you love your son and her too if she would only allow it.

Extra extra prayers coming ur way! I hope also that ur DIL wakes up and smells the coffee, how mean spirited to try to keep a son away from his mother! Hang tough, from one Harley rider to another!!

Well DIL called me this morning.....I was terrible.
She said "I just wanted to call you and tell you it is ok if you come to the hospital and see the baby today." ok????????
I said "No, April, not today, I do not want to cause you any additional stress, especially not today. You go have your baby and I will.....she cut me off here with OH WILL YOU STOP IT, DON'T BE THAT WAY!!!!
I was furious......I started to let her have it, caught myself, stopped before one word I would later regret left my mouth, uttered a good-bye and hung up the phone.
The baby was scheduled to be born over and hour ago and I haven't heard a word yet. I pray it just means they are going to not call me and let me know and NOT that there are problems.........I am worried, scared and frustrated today....it has been a long, long day, especially if you add in the hubby difficulties.
I know, I know.......God will not give me more than I can handle.

((HG)) i am sending more prayers to you and your family that all went well and little alec david is being well taken care of. congrats grannie - i hope you get to see him soon! you did a wonderful job keeping your emotions in check under the extreme circumstances!

Of course, I am sending lots of prayers and hugs to you and your new grandbaby. But I am also including your dil and son in my prayers. I pray for a softening of heart and spirit for her and relief for your son.

ALEC DAVID HAS ARRIVED HEALTHY!!!!!!!
He wasn't born until 4:45 pm because of a huge run on the OB. He weighed in a 7 pounds 10 ounces and is 21 inches long. I know that may sound big for a premie to some of you, but his daddy weighed in at 10 pounds when he was born as did his brothers so that is tiny for boys in our family!
He is breathing well with a little extra oxygen only and so far no problems.
DIL is doing very well also. I pray child birth softened her heart.
Thank you ALL for your prayers, obviously they worked......I love you all!

Congratulations!!! He's a big little boy, wow. My son was only 6 lbs 10 oz. at full term and I don't think he got 21 inches long till 3-4 months old. lol He sure sounds healthy to me. I'm so glad!
