Very cool for you. You have courage and determination and are open minded!
I am so glad it went well for you! HURRAH!!

greenapplecider 06-02-2006 08:17 PM

thank you
in fact i think it did give me strength when talking to Kathy tonight about things

FormerDoormat 06-02-2006 08:26 PM

That's a big step. Well done!

Live 06-02-2006 08:28 PM

And...it gets better.

greenapplecider 06-02-2006 08:29 PM

i think i even surprised myself when i was talking not only at the meeting but after the meeting with some of the other people!

FormerDoormat 06-02-2006 08:31 PM

Most folks find face-to-face meetings even more helpful than online forums. Though I'm rather fond of SR....

greenapplecider 06-02-2006 08:37 PM

well i do really appreciate all of you even the ones whom think that by being direct they are upsetting me
i take all your thoughts to heart

Live 06-02-2006 08:42 PM

really laughing now...former doormat and I are so direct that we have been thought to be in a fight when we thought we were just conversing! I am always going to be amused by that former doormat!

Anyway....again WOW....there are so many people who if they had walked into the wrong meeting would have run right out the door mortified and never gone back. So, as former doormat said...well done, very well done!

greenapplecider 06-02-2006 08:51 PM

one thing that stood out for me also was....one of the alcoholics cross talked and said dump her dump her man etc etc
and another guy said hey...no cross talk....even after end of meeting and coffee time happening he tried to talk and the same guy(no cross talk) came over and said leave him alone....so i thought wow !
