asking me if i slept, etc i said 13 hours
told me she slept alot 16 hours i got you beat gac!!
asked if she is feeling better after all that sleep----"not really"
(we are texting back and forth)

I may hurt your feelings....but this is called denial...acting as if nothing happened, refusing to see the elephant in the middle of the living room, we call it.
But...this is your path and everyone of us has done what you are doing...so please try not to take my words as harsh, I really, really don't mean it that way.

i am confused.
I have some people telling me that i should talk to her about last night, i have others saying not to, and some saying i am in denial, some saying i showed a lot of backbone last night? help?
i texted her "love u" but no response to that.

argh
now she sent me a text asking me if i d dropped off the applications we had picked up yesterday. I have not as i spent the day sleeping and also on the phone trying to find AA meeting. So i texted her back saying i will be dropping them off at 8 am and also taking the test for the position

There is not one right way to get recovery... not for Kathy, and not for you.
The words typed here today encompass months and YEARS of learning on the part of most of us. You have been here a month or two and trying to take all this in is like trying to drink water from a fire hose.
Little sips, baby... little, bitty sips.
Here is a bit from Alanon - "take what you like, and leave the rest". In this case, it means find what you like and are ready to hear in the posts above and below... and leave the rest. No need to explain.
Life "tenderized" me with pain until I was ready to commit to and work a program of recovery. For me, that means NO ONE could have got me where I needed to be one second sooner than I was ready to get there.
Don't get overwhelmed. Kathy will still be here tomorrow... as will we. And I hope you will, too.
Tonight, find a movie you want to see and go see it! With or without K... make it one YOU will enjoy. I will see you here later.
