Glad you asked Patty.

I turned down an offer yesterday...the fulltime job with the legal services company. Funny it felt like I was breaking up with the manager..I really really liked him...but I had to look at my life and figure out where I was going. That job would have meant lots of hours.

I want to follow my dreams. I want to have a job that will enable me to have time on the side to set up my own life coaching business.

I am waiting to hear (today) for the second job which is a six month contract. Pretty straight 9 -5 hours and pays the same as the first job.

Pretty certain I have it..the hiring manager liked me. told the contracting company they want me..She just wanted to check with her VP who I also met to make sure they were on the same page. Apparently I'm the strongest candidate.

I will start on Monday once I get the go ahead.

The third company wants me to do a second interview but I'm holding off.

Way cool Minx. When you get to be a world famous life coach with your own TV show (Dr. Minx) don't forget us little people. hmmm.... maybe I should get an autograph from ya now, imagine what it'll sell for on eBay when you get your own TV show!!!!

I think you did the right thing for you, by not taking that 1st position.
I value time off, as I know you do too. May I ask why you are holding
off on the third company?

I'm holding off the 3rd company for a second interview just in case the job doesn't come through.
