I want to come

but I haven't got a passport and I'm terrified of heights especially when there's very little keeping me above ground like bridges and planes!!

oh,minnie you have no idea how much ALL of that sounds like ME!! cept i dont even HAVE savings,and no one that could even leave me any kind of money!!
i have an extra room and no one else but a cat that sometimes thinks HE is the king of the castle!! i hope you have some little get together at a halfway spot for me,which shouldnt be too hard on this side of the country,....so i think i will save my getaway plans til i hear what you guys are doing,as i wouldnt want to miss that!!

FD - now that would be a miracle! Chance would be a fine thing......

SSBS - I let you know! This trip is going to take all my planning skills and more, it seems.

Susane - maybe we could have a get together a little closer to home? I'm not a million miles away from you.

And Minx - trust me, I've thought about that. Us Brits aren't used to that kind of heat. We were happy round here yesterday when it was pushing 20 and sunny!

Well, it seems that I am far away from everyone. But, if your travels should bring you to the northern California/southern Oregon area, you would be welcome at my house. Also, the early summer is an absolutely wonderful time of year up here in the mountains.

Minnie, I would love for you to see the Grand Canyon, wish I could remember for sure, but I think visitors get along fine with the heat, as "dry heat" does not feel as hot.
After been there a couple of years, then people complain.

I am so happy for you taking a trip over here.

It's kind of like being in an oven...100 F is not so bad..110 - 120 gets to be a bit much..

Grand Canyon is about 4 hours north so it's a bit cooler..up in the mountains..
