How to make a No-Lose decision
I'm not convinced that there are no wrong decisions/choices. But I will agree that it is fear that keeps me being so indecisive. That overwhelming fear of "what if I regret my decision and I have to spend the rest of my life knowing that". Yep, this is the thought that kept itself buried in my head anytime I'd think of leaving ah. I was afraid that I'd regret that decision and have to live with it the rest of my life.
I had posted on here quite some time ago about how I am a "reactor" to life. It seems that I've always made the decisions when I felt that I could not stall anymore, when life had pushed me into the situation where I HAD to make a decision.
We will always have choices/decisions that we have to face. Some will be harder than others. And it's true that our decision-making would be made less complicated and less scary if we could put that "what if" crystal ball away - but I think often times that just seems too impossible to do, at least at the time.
Still not convinced about thier not being wrong decisions in life. But I suppose that it really just depends on how you look at it. And I'm obviously just not in that right stage yet to make those decisions with the outlook that I need to know that it may have been a wrong choice.

I like this message. I don't have trouble making decisions, I have trouble living with them. I get the "I should haves". It wastes a lot of my emotional energy and it's not good for my self-esteem.
OP,
This is a great post!! And this is a great book!
It's funny how many things that I've found compelling I'm finding on these forums
This section of this book in particular was very helpful to me! I recommend everyone check the book out!

This is a great book. I read it also many years ago when I was just laid off from a job and trying to decide what to do next. My boyfriend told me "get another job right away", but I really wanted to go back to school. I was afraid to do it because of the money situation. But after I read the book, I felt strong enough to make the decision and to tell my boyfriend that I am going back to school, dag-nabit!
I was really GLAD I made that decision. My GPA was 4.0!!
The biggest thing I got from this book was learning how to turn OFF the negative "chatterbox" in your head and believe that every decision can be a win-win if you have the right outlook.
