Thank you for bringing that thread over here. It was a fun thread - but it also got me to thinking.
Funny that I never actually thought of some of the people listed in that other thread as being codependant. I may have wondered how they could stay or wondered why they didn't have more self esteem, etc. but I truly hadn't ever really truly thought of them as being codependants or having to deal with the issues of addiction. So it's been an interesting thing to actually stop and realize that in many ways, they are like us and do experience many of the same tragedies, etc - only difference is they have more money and have way more publicity about it.
