I know that the focus of this is on me.
As far as a test, do you really think he would put himself at such a risk
just as a test? Are you referring to a test from my HP? I am unclear.

He really didn't need to take this job, he was being taken care of quite
comfortably. I imagine he would like to have a life, just as much as we all
do, so I believe he felt this job was an attempt at that.
I have said it here before and I will say it again. If I need this one last lesson
then I am willing to take the fall. If it means one more kick then so be it. I'm
one tough diego girl and he's just a man.

He is just a man, and I would ask him if he was taking his steel toed boots to the VA hospital with him? Hes gonna need em!

If you can keep in mind the reaction of your sons, hopefully you will be OK. When you weigh the loss of your kids to involvment with that poor, sick man, you have to know what you need to do. I fear that you are placing yourself at risk and hope and pray that doesn't happen. I, too, wondered if this binge happened to draw you back in. Try to use your head instead of just your heart. Keep remembering how your sons feel about him. They must have good reasons for reacting as they have. Take care of yourself and know that we are all here for you.
