I'll offer up a prayer to all those spending the evening with someone they love but more importantly, someone who loves them back. My husband went from his "black dog with big teeth mood", to a dark bedroom where he just turned out the light and got in bed. I just know that someone out there is praying for a woman like me on this Valentines Day. I would be happy loving myself for the rest of my life, if I were allowed.

i totally surprised myself!! wasnt depressed at all!!..................mallow,im sorry....being alone WITH someone,is so worse than being alone,in my opinion. maybe thats why i wasnt depressed......ive spent many in my lifetime that way. i have prayers and hearts for all of us.........love you guys.

I did very well getting through the day. I looked back to where I was a year ago Valentine's Day. I was in the middle of a war zone back then.
Today I am in a much better place.
It helped by changing the channel when a damned hearts and roses commercial came on the tv too! LOL!!
Hope we all had a good day and that we remembered, "we" are really all we have, and, "we" are enough!!! The gift of loving ourselves is truly priceless!!

Here's the thing, I enjoy my own company. I enjoy the good parts of marriage. It's just that having a compromised version of each that makes me depressed. I could stay busy from now till I die with my interests. I could be just as happy with a mate that was not Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. Be one or the other. But no. Every morning he's a darling and every night he's in a funk, drunk. There's a Valentine in there somewhere.
