Update on my brother
We have been working with an advocate and she has been amazing
Last Friday my mom and dad had a meeting with the head of medicade, with a RN and someone else. As they were in this meeting, a nurse interupted them and said my brother was being moved, the ambulance was here and they were taking him to Gaylord. My mom didnt even have a chance to call our advocate.
So last Friday he was moved to Gaylord nursing home, well guess where he is at today. ERGGGGGGGGGGG he is now sick, he is in the hospital with pneumonia, he is now three hours away from my parents and my parents have made three trips to go see him. One of these times he is not going to come out of this, maybe this time, I dont know yet.
My parents are waiting for approval, to see if they can get funding to bring him home with 24 hour care. They had a contractor go to my parents house, because they have to widen doors and change the bathroom to be handicap excessible.
I am so frustrated, I am so mad they moved him again, and he is sick again.

I'm so sorry emily. I think it's the biggest shame on us wealthy nations that we fail to provide for our sick - provide what they need.
Your family and you sound so loving, I hope you don't have to wait for too long and that your brother doesn't get too sick before the right thing is done.

I am in Michigan, and I do not know how my brother is right now I have to wait to go home and call my mom.
Thank you all for all your prayers and well wishes, I hope this grant goes through and my mom can bring him home.
