5 Days Out

Wow, I really did marry a great guy! He's been out of rehab for 5 days and really seems to be serious about his recovery. 6 meetings (double one night) and much more attentive than I can ever remember. It has been a great few days. We have a long road ahead of us, I know, but the opportunity for a life together is at least now an option again and feels good.

I was hoping to get some opinions on couples counseling. Is it something we should hold off on for now? Also, he was given a presciption for Remeron (sp?) to help him sleep. Anyone ever heard of it? The rehab prescribed it, non-addictive, but boy, oh boy, he sleeps like a log!!! Two out three kids wailing the other night and me calling for a little back up and NOTHING... he was down for the count!

Hello! I'm so glad to hear that he's doing well.

I was on Remeron as a teenager, and it sure does make you sleep alot! I don't really remember it helping with my depression, which it was initially prescribed for, but it definitely knocked me out.

Sorry I can't be more of assistance, just wanted to say that I've experienced Remeron.

=)

Congrats on your husband. I know it might seem a little selfish, but your husband is probably busy right now working on his recovery and probably doesnt need the couples counseling just yet. I say let him get better first. Then bring up the couples counseling. I may be wrong but thats just my opinion. I think you'll know when the times right to bring it up. Stay strong and hang in there things will work out in the end.
