it works if you work it...
where do you read your literature? the conference approved alanon books? in the bedroom before bed? the morning with coffee? where?
for me.... I read my books during my lunch break. I go to a very serene place nearby and read my readings... with the sun shining into the car window its my own quiet half hour each day.

I cozy myself up in my huge soft bed with my books and some printed threads from the day, a cup of tea and a pen and paper. Sometimes I write, sometimes I don't, and I never finish my tea... but for the last three weeks I have slept very peacefully... I hope it continues. Scratch that... it will continue. Thanks for asking.

On break in the car at work... or at a meeting, during the opening (which I admit, I sometimes stop listening to... blush) ... or when I am hurting and need specific guidance on a particular subject ... or when I need to check in with my sponsor and I KNOW she is going to ask - have you read any literature lately? ... grin.
