Things that make you happy

Friday...
Only having to work until 1 o'clock...
Long weekends...
Prepping for a roast beast dinner...
But the best...
Spending Christmas with the man I love

Watching geese fly low over the river this morning, a sunny fire drill break!
D, him, his photo's and feet!
My friends faces opening their presents last night, I've never seen people so pleased and surprised - all on a second hand shoe string!
COOKING!! Me loves it, my one and only creatively expressive heaven!
SR - LIke it lots!!
The dogs - they have their friends round for the next couple of days - CHAOS 4 dogs, but what a joy to see them, we could learn alot from dogs, they never forget to greet each other!
Cobwebs with dew.
Buds on trees.
The nights getting lighter again, waiting for snow drops and daffodils.
Cold nights and a warm bed.
Smiles.
Fleece jumpers.
Oh and did I mention food? Cooking? Plucking and stuffing? Roasting, chopping, and picking the stuff that smells so good?
Markets, the sounds and launguages, a whole world all chucked in together to buy and sell.
Sari's!! Fine silk colours that hold winter light, I feel lucky everytime I see people in sari's.
Little birds - especially when they are more bold than usual and seem curious to know who you are.
Mornings, the first coffee!!
Night time and cocoa.
Long steamy showers or hot baths.
Getting the giggles....
Giving someone else the giggles...
And Cooking.
Ironing, because I'm quick and I like doing it, it's like giving a little present and feeling like you look good is a fine present in my book.
Documentries on TV - WOW!! I can see the whole world and so many people in it.
Oh and cooking.....

Eq, you and I would make a dangerous team.
We're codependent and we love to cook.
Given the right fundage, we could feed the world.
And have fun doing it.

I'm missing the bit that's dangerous? Hey I couldn't imagine much that would make me happier than that and I do NOT flippin' want curing!

It's a selfish thing - because that's where I get MY real happiness, I can't be @rsed with things, clothes, I get bored of them (with the xception of our new bedroom )!

Well put, as usual.
The Podgey Fair would approve, I'm sure.

Sure Jane.
I'll even throw in a Yorkshire with the roast beast dinner.
Haven't done one of those since I used to hang out with the Brit side of the family.

oh YEAH!!!!
Even my incredibly fussy youngest likes Yorkshire pudding!

We've taken the easy way out and gone to Marks and Spencers for all the food - ready prepared and yummy. Actually, L has done it all, she does like to organise stuff like this - so I'm going to sit back and enjoy.

"Bob's your uncle"
"Flippin' ada"
Eq, do you realize that you are changing the whole phrase landscape of our house?
Dan's right partial to "flippin' ada"

Way too many things make me happy...I'll stick to my faves...

- Seeing my dogs come bouncing around the corner when I first come home, so anxious to see me
- Fresh flowers in my house
- Sleeping with both of my dogs curled up beside me
- The minute after I finish my workout (not during, but immediately when I've accomplished it)
- Baking sweets for everyone I can bake for
- Banana Republic
- Anytime with my husband when he's neither moody nor drunk

Things that make me happy...hmm
My wonderful daft puppy
My lovely Scottish sister (you know who you are )
M when I see the real person I married
Pretending I'm still a disco queen at my age
Books!
Sunny December days
When people are genuinely pleased to see me
Massages
Singing eighties hits loudly in the car
Peace of mind - always to be savoured when I have it
Chocolate and peanut butter, tho not together...

That cheered me up - thanks Gabe!
Happy Christmas, SR!
Sophia

things that make me happy that I can do during the holidays. I can:
-breathe deeply
-remember there are people who love me (how they do that I don't know!)
-offer all the preparing as prayer for those I love
-laugh whenever possible, fully and deeply
-take quiet time amidst the haste
-giving
-graciously receiving (this is always harder for me but I'm learning)
