boundaries

Hi Probably a stupid question about boundaries- but my husband and I are sitting down tonight to discuss boundaries with his sisters (one alcoholic and the other drug user) we are going to put our boundaries down on paper. Is this something we should share with them or not? I have that book Boundaries by Cloud and Townsend on hold at the library and it probably has the answer- but I thought I could get some insight from others who had been through this. Thanks

What Idget said!

My boundaries are my self-rules.

I dont place them on others, just myself.

"IF you come to my home drunk, I shall not open the door".

The point gets across very well...without threatening.

Oh,,,make sure you ENFORCE them there boundaries if they should be crossed.
