You gave up the Martin! LOL!
(kidding)

You know, one day a friend of mine was asking just how much this mistake cost me. I started doing rough math in my head, adding up the settlement, payments on my Land Cruiser she totaled, out of pocket medical and dental expenses.... I stopped counting at around $75k. I don't want to know the real total. I try to remember the upside of all this...
*tapping fingers on desk*
What was that upside again?

Hey Jazz -

It was a sweet guitar..little had I known that in the future I would be dating another (more talented) musician alcoholic..I would have taken the guitar and given it to him..

It's part of the gig, Jazz.
Sometimes, I feel like only my '62 Strat really ever understood me.
Then again, I traded the bitch for a handmade Lowden and a case of Heineken

minnie,im sorry you got to go thru this. if he has it,i dont understand why he cant just pay it back...and if he doesnt,at least make some arrangement, and DO IT!! thing is though, even if you win in court, you may never actually see it......................i been thinking about these sorts of things alot lately. its so scary to think of the money owed, money lost, dividing belongings, etc when things dont work out, geez its stressful enough without all that.least thats the only good thing about my last breakup,i didnt have to deal with all that.

OK, Minnie, deep breaths.

He is defending it, and he using the Partnership solicitors to do so. Heaven only knows what story they have got from him.

Earth calling Planet R, Earth calling Planet R. Do you read? Over.

When I was in the thick of it w/ M, I KNEW I could not predict just how far she would/could go. But I was still shocked when it was made apparent time and time again.

Someone over in Naranon recently asked, "How low can they go?"
I told her not to ask, because she didn't want to know.
It's so to discover the depths of their bad behavior.

God, I'm so predictable, but I don't have any wise words. Just thinking of you and empathising with the frustration of it all.
Does that mean you have to find another lawyer? Hope you can use one you already know. I wouldn't worry about your partnership ones hearing his version of reality - like doctors they have seen and heard it all before.

Hugs

Heya minnie,

We're all here with ya. You are going to survive and overcome this challenge, just like you have done so with many others before. Don't be concerned about _which_ solicitors he uses, they really are all the same. They just do it for the money and even then do only the minimum necesary effort. ( Present company excluded, wish I had in real life the caliber of lawyers I have met here on SR )

Ten years from now, minnie, you will be looking back on these days and thinking to yourself "What was his name?"

Mike :-)
