I don't mean to sound ungrateful but next time would you mind praying it does itself while I snatch an extra hour or two's kip??

Seriously I posted this because I knew you were all wishing me well with it - that's a good feeling to have when you're working at 7am to get the flippin' thing done! I kept giving myself little SR breaks when I'd finished a section!

I only have one small problem - I worked from memory and now I have to find references. I'm the only bloody one who references at County Hall but my manager has got used to it and the first time I work without she wants me to reference!

I have plenty of faith in my memory, I know all the refs are out there in legislation somewhere....

Thanks everyone!!
Cynay - natter is the same as chatter, talk.

Okay I know this is a thread derailment but yesterday I told my old office mate what was happening - she's very posh but very trustworthy and the nearest thing I have to a friend at work (ie we talk maybe every 3 months!!).

Anyway it turns out her husband is a general manager at the health trust we will be complaining to. He's not in the same department but works directly to the cheif executive so isn't that far removed either. She got on the phone to him and brought back the chief executive's name and address + the name and address of the general manager over the team we're complaining about. She also said (from him) that it would be better for the letter of complaint to come from D himself because it's more powerful that way. Also apparently complaints have to be resolved within 20 days!!

Of course I told D and he has said he wants to write the letter himself and that he can do it. We will send the complaint to the chief exec, the general manager and the complaints department.

I'll organise a brief file of relevent letters and evidence to go with it - I think it will be a strong case.

Do you think I should hold out real hope yet?

It's a hell of a turn up for the books innit? Yes - I do feel hopeful. I think within the next week D will suddenly become a real human being to them - at least I hope so!

I cooked a lovely tea, we've watched a silly movie, now bed, a cuddle and sleep.

Oh Equus, look what happens when we reach out! I am starting to learn that lesson myself.

Hopeful? You bet. Another step in the right direction.

Definately think the letter of complaint is the way to go..

Great on finishing your project..procrastination is one of my greatest problems..or maybe I just like that adreneline rush of trying to hit that deadline..
