Well would ya Adam and Eve it?!!

I actually feel more confident and secure after D's slip while I was away!!

I had wondered if he would take out the plan we made and follow it - now I know, he did. I had wondered whether I could behave in the way I believe in - I didn't manage that perfectly but I got nearer to where I want to be than I have before. I had wondered if I could keep my sense of hope and I've found it has increased. I had wondered if it would make the changes seem less real but the sight of those changes surviving a slip, even becoming deeper seated through it has answered that question.

I learned something - about me, him, and us. I learned peace is a verb just the same as love. We don't have to wait for it and hope, I can decide on it like deciding to do anything, go for a run, drink some coffee, love, make a bacon butty, wear my favourite jeans, live peacefully, stroke the dog. They're just decisions. I also learned that removing anger and replacing it with compassion is HOW I live peacefully - just as putting fried bacon between 2 slices of bread is HOW I make a bacon butty!

"Bacon butty"
Didja have to use that term equus?
Didja have to?
I'm not gonna say it, I swear I'm not. :tapedshut :)

equus 09-17-2005 11:07 AM

Gabe?....

Do you not worship at the temple of bacon butty land?

^^ To enjoy them at their best you need to take the sticky tape off!!

minnie 09-17-2005 11:15 AM

Blimey, that looks good!

Can you send some up the A1? I'm starving here - me and bro were supposed to go te the pub for dinner, but he has a migraine. I am toying between ordering in or making spag bol. Bacon baps would go down a treat. With red sauce, please.

Take the sticky tape off of a bacon butty? :yikes:

equus 09-17-2005 11:21 AM

Minnie,
I thought where you are it's all black pudding, kidneys on toast and liver and onions? You sure you're thinking spag bol or is the reality nearer a pukka pie and chips?

Uhmmmmmm... pukka pies......

Gabe
No silly.... you need to take it off your gob!

minnie 09-17-2005 11:29 AM

Actually, I live near somewhere quite posh, so it's all gastro-pubs round here. Although, they still do Black Pudding, but on a muffin, with hollandaise sauce.

Minx1969 09-17-2005 11:40 AM

Banoffee Pie is more my thing...

Believe it or not there is a place here in AZ that sells Cornish Pasties and banoffee pie..

yum yum..

FaithChaser 09-17-2005 11:42 AM

I love that peace is a verb! The rest of this line of posting has this American girl completely lost!!! What is black pudding, pukka pies??? Kinda reminds me of when I went down to South Carolina and my mom-in-law asked if I wanted some grits, my response, "I'll try one." I'll just have my peace with stroking the dog, which I first read "smoking the dog" Thinking another one of those things I didn't understand! Geesh I'm having a dizzy day as usual!

Hugs,
~Faithchaser

as i sit here drinking an Ensure (liquid protein drink) my mouth is watering. thanks guys - maybe i'll have to rustle something more substantial up. lol

equus 09-17-2005 11:58 AM

cwohio - It's all Gabe's fault!! Drawing attention to a bacon butty is fatal!

Minnie - we live in a place called heaven largely because we have a greasy spoon 2 mins walk away! Full fried breakfast with 6 favourite items for £2.50! D gets to indulge in a rare black pudding (no hollandaise sauce!).

Faithchaser - Pukka pies are sold at chip shops and made from strange nameless goo - but somehow they taste like chicken and mushroom or mince and onion. Black pudding is largely dried pigs blood and barley.

A pukka pie:

And for americans out there.... Black pudding:

Oh, you lucky things. I could eat a Full English for every meal. We have 2 pubs and a shop and that's about it.

*whispers* speaking of the shop, I am thinking of taking it over as my new business venture. The owners want to retire. AND, I'll make sure I have pies in stock - I have already found a supplier of the most amazing Game Pies.

minnie 09-17-2005 12:05 PM

Sorry, I didn't respond to your OP.

I had wondered if he would take out the plan we made and follow it - now I know, he did.
And that is all that matters at the moment.

cwohio 09-17-2005 12:08 PM

hey minnie - if you do that will you set up shipping to US? lol

minnie 09-17-2005 12:10 PM

I'm sorry, E. That black pudding looks grim. I don't like it with the big white bits. (*whispers again* don't tell them what it's made of)

cwohio 09-17-2005 12:11 PM

i think i know what it is made of and i don't even want to go there! lol
