Not that it matters, but for what it's worth, when I spoke to xabf the other day, he mentioned me sending him the "Letter From The Devil." It was a post on SR, I thought it was really good, whoever wrote it. Well anyway he got totally irrate and told me to never send him anything like that again. He also said don't try to tell me all that bullsh*t from AA and Al-Anon, when I said for instance "one day at a time for me." Just to note; I never pushed AA on him or told him to go back, just in conversation I brought up some things that I've learned.

I just thought it was weird coming from someone that cherished his sobriety and the AA fellowship at one time. Now to totally hate it, I guess because he feels guilty? Any input or thoughts?

Well of course if he is active he doesn't want to hear about anything that may contribute to him loosing his buzz...I guess it might be the devil in him ya know...

If you have a copy of that "letter From The Devil" That struck him so bad, could you send it via email to me? Then I can give you my point of view on it... It is disturbing to me that one piece of literature could impact someone so negatively. I am very sorry to hear that...obviously something more is going on deep down inside...

Actually as he did "cherish AA" at one time it is well known that a belly full of booze and head full of AA DO NOT MIX.

It can make an alkie that goes back out not only very uncomfortable and guilty and affords them the "opportunity" (excuse) to lash out at anyone and everyone about anything and everything.

I think it has something to do with guilt too. He probably feels guilty because he is going against the stuff he used to hear in AA.
