Hi friends. I like to give you an update every week or so on how I am doing. It really helps me to share my life with you. I have been taking the Prozac for over a week now and I do feel better. My situation is the same in almost all respects. However I feel more peaceful about my situation and more ready to focus on myself. I spend less time thinking about the problems in my life, I mean obsessive thinking. I feel more ready to focus on myself and actually begin the step work. I feel less sorry for myself and more hopeful about bringing about change in my life. I feel more relaxed. I also feel more detached from my husband. I feel less frantic about figuring everything out and making the "right" decision. You know, I don't care if I have to take medication for the rest of my life, if it helps me to feel "OK", then it is worth it.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I still have problems. I am still confused. But today I don't feel hopeless. Thanks for listening.

That's sooo great. Being new to this program, it helps me so much when I hear that people are progressing and doing well. Sometimes it feels so hopeless. I am so happy for you and the progress you've made.

So glad you got through the doldrums and can smile again. Sometimes it takes more energy to be happy than to be sad, but we are worth the effort.
