his eyes are yellow

anyone ever notice that about their AH? it is alot worse after he has had his binge. i mentioned it to him once, but he shrugged it off.

they looked mighty yellow to me. isn't that like a sign of jaundice in babies? i wonder if this has anything to do with the condition of his liver? i wouldn't imagine it has anything to do with smoking would it? it seems to go away, but maybe now that he is on his own, they'll only get worse. is this a sign of hepatitis? anybody?....

It sounds like it could be the onset of cirrhosis of the liver. Here is a link that may help you with gaining some information.

He should get to a Dr. if he has any of these symptoms. A check up couldn't hurt. That would be my suggestion.

Generally with alcoholics, this is in indication of liver failure.

My AH's face in that area of the "apple" of his cheeks to his temple stay yellow. Sometimes worse then other times. I have often wondered if it is the start of cirrhosis.

It's the start of cirrhosis. If it isn't too progressed the liver can regenerate itself if he were to stop drinking.
