Are there really places like this out there.....other than TV? I live in the city. The furthest I've traveled is Gatlinburg.

Your holiday sounds absolutely wonderful....

If she's anything like my A, and I know she can be, her ideas change from day to day. If she goes on holiday, it'll have to be on her own money.
This investment thing could pass off today, and tomorrow it's something else.
It's really hard carrying all the responsibility, being the adult, and dealing with their moods.
I wish I had a magic wand to wave over all of us.
All you can do for now is trust she'll realise the bills have to be paid and the mortgage company waits for no woman. It does seem very selfish of her to want a holiday when she hasn't been working! But there's the self-absorbtion again.
You look after YOU and your boys. Think of the holiday. Postpone the worry.
Maybe when you come back she'll have come to some realisations without you there to prop her up.
Remember you're loved. And you're doing your very best.
