Hmmm
What about currently accepted truth instead of myth?
Not as snappy but a phrase I've come to over the years!
It implies an understanding that this is a best fit for now truth, and promises room for further discovery.
If you were to analyse the word truth too hard you'd find you never got a chance to use it!

And 'truth' with a 'the' in front (especially if pronounced with capitols) is a little bit scary to me.....
