Rays of sunshine!

:e03c
It's a sunny day in my head today ! even though it's cloudy and dull looking out of the window.
My P is off the vodka and on the beer YEY!!
It's a big step towards recovery, and will be better for his detox programme.
The change is amazing.
Yesterday I got cheeky grins, clear speech and a pinched bottom!!
We took a hand in hand walk to Asda (Walmart) It exhausted him but he's only been out of the house twice to see the Dr in a month.
I know there will be dark days ahead, thats life, but by golly I'm going to make hay while the sunshines :e15l You know what? I've been in control for most of the past 20 years, now I,m letting go and it definitly has it's benefits.
Take care all

Thanks Guys

There's so much that is depressing in the world today, and we don't seem to give as much attention to the good because we're always gearing up to face the next bad thing to happen.

Thats my new resolve, to put more focus on the good.

I may be heading for a fall but, HEY! at my age I need all the exercise I can get, so picking myself up will do wonders for my muscles

I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it.
Alice Walker.

I love that quote - what a loss to miss the colour purple. Your post just reminded me of it.

Never heard of that quote before Equus but it's very appropriate

I love purple!! and mauve and lilac and lavender, I could go on!
My garden is mainly those colours with a little pink, lemon and blue for contrast.

Purple is said to be a colour associated with spirituality so maybe it's one of Gods favourite colours too
