Okay, I'm a little ashamed of myself for horsing around and departing from the lovely spirit of this thread. So, I do have a want that is more in keeping with CBB's beautiful tone.
I am an idiot about my cat. She's just the best part of any day and I love love love her. I have often wondered about how animals experience our love. Do they have any comprehension of the depths of our feelings? They obviously become attached to us, but is it remotely the same? Do they know? I'm always saying to Petey "I hope you can know how much I love you because it must be really swell to be loved that much." And she blinks as if to say... something. But really, do people know how much we love them? When we feel intensely for someone it is almost tangible, the energy that pours out toward that person. Anyway it is for me. I believe I have felt that energy rushing in my direction from other people. But is that projection? Is it because I'm pouring out that I imagine something pouring back? I don't think so. But I do wonder. When I am content, and he hasn't upset any applecarts recently, my heart fills to exploding when I contemplate Dino. It spills out of my heart and into my arms and face and shoots out my eyes and fingers. It's a physical sensation of something in my soul rushing out to connect with him. I want Dino to feel that. I want the intensity to be the same in the receiving as it is in the sending, because it would have to be really swell to be loved that much.

My cat gives me the same love Smoke spoke of, and it really is a beautiful thing. Unconditional, ever-forgiving, and just there anytime I want to wallow in it. Cats KNOW, they really do.
