This week was better ...

We went to our aftercare on Tuesday night and H told the group about his "slip"...they were very supportive and some gave some marvellous advise. I think his biggest downfall is that when he is feeling bad he will not call people - he has gotten lots of numbers since then and has 2 call at least 2 people before the next meeting. He has been at AA twice this week but I know he is finding things particularly hard. We have a wedding coming up in 3 weeks and he is feeling a bit "windy" about that too - I am sure we can come to some sort of compromise - maybe just go to the church and the meal and then leave before the music starts...anyway...we will find the answer.
Since the slip he has been doing quite well - hasn't had another drink which is the main thing and is keeping focused on the job in hand - I am proud of him

Good to hear your hubby is still trying. At least he had a slip , not a fall. It's the fall that could kill him. Good that you can compromise when you know that hubby is uncomfortable in situations, hope he does the same for you.
