Done deal

I have a TRO.

He's been ordered to anger management classes for a year.
Commissioner highly suggested AA or some form of Alcohol treatment to him.
He claims he's going to do it.

He can't sleep here. He has 72 hours to arrange to have his stuff moved.

The surprise was he showed up in court. Apologized. Took the blame.
My hard hearted side says "manipulation". My soft-sided side says "maybe he's finally hit bottom". Both sides say...PROVE IT! Walk the walk and then contact me when the final restraining order expires. (3 years) I have a court date in a few weeks.

I think I'll sleep tonight. They made him turn over his door key right there in court.

Saddened...yet relieved. Thanks for all the support, it's meant more than I can express.

Thats great!!! But kind of curious, how did the judge order him to do anything without serving him to be in court first? How did he end up in court with you? Usually that is the second hearing two weeks after the TRO is issued.

Here unless you can demonstate the reasonable fear the person you want restrained will get too ugly, you are required to give the person you want restrained at least four hour's notice about what you're doing. They even have a script for you...you, know, "at 1:30 (today's date) I am going to...."
He took off work...either told him he was sick or...?????

Just so excited to have it behind me! Slept like a rock last night!

WTL - great news and i am happy you slept like a rock - bet that hasn't happened in a while. 1 year anger management classes - court ordered right? wow! why don't they do that with A's that get DUI's, etc? in my state it's a 3 day program for 1st offense - what a slap on the hand in my estimation.

i am so proud of your determination and bravery!
