Feelings of serenity?

Wanted to check in with everyone after a hectic week. I'm doing fine. I haven't been able to honestly say that in about 8 months. What has hit me the last couple of days is that I have felt serenity maybe for one of the few times in my life! I am so busy creating chaos or participating in others' that I never just feel calm/peaceful inside. Detaching from my A's life has been a lifesaver. Now I realize another crisis may hit, but for today I feel calm. Just had to share that realization. How has everyone else's week gone?

Hi Cajun

Had a great week too. The serenity that you feel gets better and better as you work your recovery. Working the steps helps even more, and before you know it we can actually live happy healthy lives, one day at a time.

Good for you both!! I love that serenity feeling. Haven't felt it much lately. I guess I need to get back on track. My A at this moment is out back, sitting in the rain, probably drunk, geez.

Maybe the serenity for me will come this week, I can only hope.

Take care.
Many hugs.
Love,
Debbie

Cajun,

Feels good huh? I am so happy for you. We DO create chaos...even when there is none. So relax and enjoy!

And Debbie... ...you are right. You had a nice break but the games have begun again! And we are in your corner!

Hugs to both!
