Call from the Beav..
Call from the Beav..
Well it is confirmed...he IS in rehab. 90 days this time of which he has 44.
I didn't speak to him...I wasn't home. He told Ward that after all that has happened recently it was a hard call to make.
Now the last 4 times he has called I have not been here...do you think HP has a hand in that? The Beav probably thinks Ward is hiding me!
Now it has been hard for me to arrive at this point but I am (pretty) convinced that until he shows some positive attempt at rehab...actions, not words...I am keeping my distance.
I will have to call him...he left numbers...but I positively cannot deal with the manipulative BS!!

Hi JT
This is good news that he is safe and in rehab...just for today. The future is not ours to see. If you call him, you don't have to discuss his addiction or recovery, just tell him you love him and talk about the weather or anything else in your life.
Just keep the helmet on and say a prayer that the right words will come....I love your prayer "Lord...put your arm around my shoulder and your hand over my mouth".
And what is it with them talking to the dads...when my husband was home last weekend, he and my son just talked and talked about everything with no issues, no arguing, just like everything was ever so peachy-keen. When I tell my son to "have a nice day" he sees it as a control thing and my personal instructions for how he should live his life. Go figure.

Beav resurfaces
He's in the best place for him. I admire your wisdom in looking for action. Keep the helmet on. Do you need some stickers for the helmet, I'm an avid scrapbooker and have thousands!!!????
Hey JT -
I'm glad you heard from your son - it's a great comfort to know where they are instead of the wondering. I'm sure the call was a hard one for him and he realizes all the grief he has caused you. Now sit back and relax and see if he's willing to do something about it. I pray everyday for strength and guidance - both for us and for our addicts.
Prayers and hugs,

J.T.,
At least you know now, I am so glad he
is taking this step.
I feel like you will know what to say
when the time comes. But just in case
keep those jujubees on hand, your
wonderful prayer and now "Be still my
mouth."
He is in a safe place, what a relief.

LOL! I Will keep those jujubee's on hand because I DON"T know what to say...I do have a # of a drug and alcohol councelor that my Dad use to sponsor that I am going to give him. The Beav knows him from childhood so maybe he will call him and get some assistance with an after program. They can't just spit them out on the street if the have no home. Well, yes they can but maybe this will help.
Thanks everyone!
