a poem i wrote... an expression of grief wandering lost within you wandering lost within you the child you were meant to be years of addiction have replaced the smile we were meant to see wandering lost within you the man you were meant to become eyes filled with pain and anger showing how hurt is now numb wandering lost within you the belief in a God from above that we are all children in his hands receptive and deserving of love wandering lost within you the spirit of such a pure soul wishing to turn from directions that keep you from reaching your goal wandering lost within you the power to speak your true voice wishing to reach out with honesty now guided by things not your choice wandering lost within you the man i shall ever love magic once made upon this earth a gift from our God up above wandering lost within you a spark i shall always believe could kindle a flame of recovery and cancel the deep need to grieve wandering lost within you the light that i see even now restless within your own spirit silently wondering how wandering lost within you Gods love is waiting with grace to gather together your worries sunshine to fall on your face wandering lost within you a man of bright brown eyes no longer wishing to hide within the addiction and lies wandering lost within you a truth you will know of one day beyond the pain of this world my prayers have paved your way |
