Now that I am almost 40...m
I resolve to be an adult.
I will take care of myself so that I can live to be very old so I don't miss anything important.
I will end every day with a prayer of thanks for whatever it is that happened that day that I was thankful for (even if it is just the fact that my car started).
I will show people that I love them, in small ways, in big ways, in grand ways, and in my every gestures.
I will remember what is REALLY important in my life.
I will remember the things that are mine to control. They are very few and should not be hard to keep track of.
I will eat well, sleep well and breath deeply.
I will wake up each morning with the realization that THIS day is a new day. Each one is a small miracle.
I will love myself.

ooooh ..... the big 50, eyyyyyyyyyy ....... I have a few short years before I get there, and it scares me. Was never an *age* worrier, but I wasted my early 40s on alcoholic and substance abuse. When I reached *40* I went through so many phases and was having a great time partying (eeeeeak, maybe I can blame it on early menopause ........ YUCK), so hopefully I can get a new perspective on life and enjoy whats (sorry my keboard stuck ..... cant use apostrophes ....... I allowed my kids to use my PC ..... that will teach me!)!
Otherwise, prodigal, I can tell you that 40 is a GREAT age! I wished I knew what I knew at 40 when I was 20 .......... OOOOOOOOOH BABY!
