Supertramp Song

Good morning everyone. I was on my way home from work last night, and this song came on. I know that when something is on our minds, we can read anything into a song, but this seemed to fit "us"! So I wanted to share!

Supertramp

Lord Is It Mine

by Unknown
I know that there's a reason why I need to be alone
You show me there's a silent place that I can call my own

Is it mine, Lord is it mine ?

You know I get so weary from the battles in this life
and many times it seems that you`re the only hope in sight

Is in mine, Lord is it mine ?

When everything`s dark and nothing seems right
there`s nothing to win and there`s no need to fight.

I never cease to wonder at the cruelty of this land
but it seems a time of sadness is a time to understand

Is it mine, Lord is it mine ?

When everything`s dark and nothing seems right
You don`t have to win and there`s no need to fight

If only I could find a way
to feel your sweetness through the day
The love that shines around me could be mine

So give us an answer won`t you
We know hat we have to do
There must be a thousand voice trying
to get through.

I don't know if Supertramp is together any more or not. I loved their music. I don't go to any concerts to speak of. They would be the group I'd go see.

Thanks for posting this. I used to have the song on an album.

one of my absolute favorites... i had the pleasure of seeing them in the late 70's and no blackouts! I can't believe my parents allowed me to go to concerts at the age of 14, 15, etc. i guess mom on valium, dad having an affair made it easy for me to get away with many many things. by the way, dad's affair ended up being a 26 year long fling... mom died 5 years ago and they were married within a couple months. Bitter, not me! Have good memories from my teen years. Lost many brain cells, but good memories. I probably can't remember the bad times.

Jessica NAJ, dang, i thought we were close to the same age, but if you don't remember Supertramp, I guess not unless you lived in Tazmania or something.

Thanks for sharing
