crisis after crisis...related to daily family life. Sick children, broken dishwasher, cars that won't start, bounced checks.

My husband stayed home with the children, dealt with the crisis (aside from the money aspect which he is ignoring) and did not drink.

He went to therapy and told me he is going to an AA meeting in the morning. He told me that he is going to do this. He is going to be sober.

Today I am stressed. It is the damn car issues. Breath....breath...but not too deeply, don't want to get sick kid germs.

I am sure I won't need to post daily updates forever, but for now I hope it is OK.

Keep the prayers coming and add in a few "go away fever" vibes for my babies.

First things first is an AA slogan that has served me well. If there is something I CAN do I do it. If I can't do anything about a particular thing then I have to accept it.

Sort through your crisis list and see which side each falls on.

Ok...my list...

Sick kids...I can hug them and love them and care for them

Broken dishwasher...I can ignore and hand wash.

Broken car...can not affored to fix it. I will have to find a way, as we need it. I may have to call upon my family for some help with this one. Although right at this moment, I can do nothing about it.

Bounced checks...I am not ready yet to deal with the financial mess. I can repay this particular check with a money order from my private account and i can totally stop using our joint checking account...as it is empty.

Husband not drinking...I can be thankful for today.
