I had a great night tonight
 

Tonight i went to my first Al-Anon Christmas Party. I was able to get my mom to go with me. I so glad that my mom went. I do not know what she though but she went and that is all that matters right now. Tonight i also got up and read the 12 steps infront of 100 people it was a great feeling when i was done but scarey before I did it. Ia m glad i did it and that my mom got to here me read the steps. Well It is late I have to go hope you all have a great day.

It's nice that your mom wanted to be there and share in your recovery. And even nicer that you participated and found the courage to read.

Hi Shana!

You make me wistful and a little envious. How wonderful it is that you have started so early in your life to overcome the effects that alcoholism in your family has had on you. Be very very proud of every triumphant moment you claim for yourself. Keep looking forward to the next ones.

Thanks guys. It was a pretty special monment for me lastnight. I have come a loing way in a year in the program. I will never stop learning.
