How devastating. This made me cry. I am soooo sorry this is happening. Like you, I'm no longer married to my qualifier, but I still have love for him. I'd hate to think he'd not know me as the mother of his children. Heartbreaking.

Ah Reneec, it sounds like you have lots of grieving on your plate both for you MIL and for the degeneration of your Ex. Not fun.

Please let us know how you and your kids are getting on and may a battalion of angels bombard you.
