i just want to know one thing: what is it about sugar and alcoholics? AH literally eats chocolate covered cookies by the box and then gumdrops in the space of an hour....

Dazed.....alcohol has a high sugar content, and the pancreas has adjusted to that....all newly recovering alcoholics seem to crave sweets....LOL..I used to keep a load of candy bars, in m y desk, specifically for them!
Snickers were the favorite......

Very common. You read this in the other boards all the time.

I ate skittles, by the bagful. And not the small bags either! It just lasted for a couple of months after I quit drinking.
