Need to tell someone

Mine is not allowed at the house if he’s had a drink. He’s been living rough since 27th July. I have zero tolerance now. The relationship from my side is dead in the water.

a year ago he fell asleep behind the wheel of his van. He was five times over the uk limit but got away with a drunk in charge conviction, fine and a 9 month ban.
at the end of the ban he was refused a new license.
He has still been driving (yes, I have reported him) his van which I bought for him, at nearly £2500. If I take the keys he’s violent and basically it’s not my job to control him and he hasn’t been here anyway.

2 nights ago he rolled the van into a ditch, 3 times over the limit, no tax no insurance no license. He is obsessed with that van because it allows him to get alcohol.
He was arrested and released. I refuse to see him or help.

hes still busy getting hammered and doggedly trying to get his van back from the police. I am refusing to fund it because he will just drive it again.

it will be crushed next week which to me is the preferable option and I hope it hurts him as much as hes hurt me.

Well this certainly makes your username appropriate!

The good thing about this happening is that his vehicle is gone so he won't be out there driving.

I'm glad you got away from this Onefor. How are you doing?

Lol so it does.

Im upset with myself. My dad gave me the money to buy a car and I bought dickface the van. That was back when I was stupid enough to think I could change him. Next week it will be a metal cube.

Well, at least is resolved and that connection to him is finally broken.
Well done holding your boundary, by the way.

Can you go totally No Contact now that this van thread is severed?
What else needs to happen for you to be totally free legally of this person?
Sounds like he's spiraling down the drain and doesn't want to save himself. . .

Yes, true. At least I don’t have to worry about him killing someone now thanks to me trying to be a nice person.

im going to pack all his clothes tomorrow and take them to his nans

then I’m going to look at an injunction to allow
me to move on and live my life

At least if he winds up in the ditch again it will only be as a pedestrian . . . .sigh.

Keep moving forward. This is so tough.

This...I feel this so deeply. I hope you are able to have peace now that the van is gone!
