My divorce from my AH will finalize soon. I was looking at my old journal entries when I was coping with his addiction and thought others may relate to this one excerpt...

"I miss my husband
His other is so powerful, so strong, so mean
(His heart is the warmest place there could be)
Something evil has possessed my husband
Something soulless and shallow, hardens his eyes and makes him tight
Makes him lash out like a wounded animal
When he emerges from that state, my heart aches
Because I have my husband back, my sweet, intelligent man
I missed him so
Sometimes I'm scared that he will never come back
And the world will be left with this shell of a man
And I will have lost him forever"
