Staying on My Own Side of the Street
Hahaha - yes, Anvil! I even told him about it as I hit "confirm order".....2 days later I brought it up again and he was like "you bought a futon?!?!?!"
Honestly, it's cheaper than staying at a motel/hotel every time he drinks.

What else will you do to make your she cave a haven? Spoil yourself a little LPS.
I just got a 58 inch smart tv on close out and a DVD player and sound bar for my space. Also some nice down pillows and a set of linen sheets. I'd been making do for so many years and I am so glad to have some lovely things around me when I need space from drinking or depressed spouse. How much do they spend on booze with no lasting value anyway?

Sasha's Cheapskate Recovery Craft Tip: since we know you already have mason jars () - buy rock salt or pickling salt at the grocery store, along with peppermint or vanilla extract (the pure kind, if you can afford it). Mix the salt with a generous dollop of extracts and a tiny bit of a neutral oil (like canola) until all the extract is absorbed (food coloring can be fun here too). Pour salt into mason jars about 2/3 of the way full and make an indentation into which you can fit a small flat votive candle. Light the candle. The heat from the candle releases the fragrance of the extract that the salt has absorbed, and it looks really artsy inside the jar.
