I wouldn't mobile deposit a check from any questionable source.YMMV, but my bank charges ME for depositing a bad check that someone else wrote. I take it to the check-writer's bank and get cash.
Additional tip from Late Husband: If someone has a habit of writing bad checks, divide the amount roughly in half, and have the Check-Bouncer write TWO checks. He or she might *Never* have $200 in his account, but you may have better luck cashing two $100 checks.
