Jenn, most attorneys will give a free consult. Ask around and visit several and get advise.

Most attorneys will do a free consult. As to finding a good one, I would contact the local women's shelter. The staff usually have a lot of knowledge about the law.
Do you go to Al Anon?
Could be a great source of support for you.
