I had to join this forum as I need help to get through with my experience with an alcoholic husband. I'm desperate, I am not being physically abused, but emotional abuse is wearing me down.
I'm a stroke survivor of almost 3 years, 68 years old. My children are grown with their own families.
Thank you for letting me join.

Are you thinking of leaving?
Have you tried Al-Anon yet, they provide face to face support through meetings for people with family or friends who have a problem with alcohol. Lots of wisdom to be found there.
Here is a list of meetings in Nfld:

Al-Anon's main site is here: https://al-anon.org/
Emotional abuse is still abuse, you can also find support and counselling with your local domestic violence group, this page might be helpful:
Find Help Across Canada - Ending Violence Association of Canada
Plenty of support for you here at sober recovery as well. Perhaps if you tell us a bit more about your situation we can be of more support.
Again, welcome!
