Will it be a happy new year?
 

Christmas went much better than l expected. AH bought me a diamond and sapphire pendant and gift vouchers for a beauty store. He helped with dinner and clearing up afterwards. We went a walk together with our dog. We played scrabble. We watched a film together. He liked the gifts l got for him...everything fitted etc. He seemed happy.
He didnt hear anything from alienated daughter which must have hurt him badly. But it didn't show in his mood. Yes he bought brandy, and has almost certainly been drinking after l go to bed each night, but so what... l havent checked.
So much has changed since l 'got off his case' and no doubt this is down to the sertraline l am taking, but we are both more relaxed and he has even suggested we book a holiday together.
Who cares if he drinks..he's treating me ok today and today is all we have. Happy New Year to my SR friends x
