Sorry about the bad reaction to the drugs but I'm glad to hear the surgery is over and you will now be on the mend.

Yes I too wouldn't worry too much about your kids seeing you not at your best, it happens! I'm sure they are just concerned that you feel better soon.

I like dandylion's idea of calling the nurse and saying you are too tired if the conversation goes to your relationship, just call it really bad bad timing. He may think well she is a captive audience so we can just sit here and hash this out - bad idea!

There is no urgency here, nothing that can't be discussed a few weeks from now.

Just focus on healing and think forward, in a few days you will be feeling much better.
